Science Camps of America founded the Hawaiʻi Gap program to provide informal science education opportunities for post-high-school students.

The Environmental Leadership gap program, held on Hawaiʻi Island, is a semester long (ten week) program that immerses students in environmental science, environmental action, and environmental leadership training, all while exploring the many different ecosystems of Hawaiʻi Island.
