Science Camp Facilities in Pahala, Hawaiʻi

Plantation House - Living Room

Science Camp is based at the historic Pahala Plantation House adjacent to the town of Pahala on the southeast side of the island, located on the flanks of Mauna Loa a few miles inland of the ocean and about 25 miles south of the summit of Kilauea volcano.

The Plantation House is our base. Here we enjoy most of our meals (either in the spacious dining room or outdoors on the lanai), spend our free time (indoors and out), and where we meet, enjoying the warm and open friendliness of this beautiful home, filled with antiques and relics of Hawaiʻi's past.

Upstairs are multiple bedrooms and this is where the girls usually stay, along with their counselors. The boys (and their counselors) stay in a separate cottage nearby.
