Camps are for teens ages 13 to 17. Teens ages 18-19 may apply for a counselor-in-training position.

Are you ready?

  • Each ten-day session will feature six or seven travel days. Some trips will take all day while some will take only a few hours.
  • The registration fee for each session is US $2,395 and includes ground transportation to and from Hilo airport and camp. A deposit of $375 is required at time of registration. Financial Aid information.
  • On short travel days or days with no travel campers will spend learning time in the laboratories.
  • Time is set aside each day for recreational activities
  • Meals are provided through our agreement with our host Pahala Plantation Cottages.
  • Time is set aside each day for creative activities including drawing, photography, videography and music.
  • Campers should be in good physical condition, able to hike five miles at a time.
