Science is about doing. That means getting out into the field or the laboratory. Science Camps of America provides campers with the field and lab experience that leaves real knowledge and understanding.
Science Camp is a great way to give young adults with an interest in science an opportunity to actually get into the field to learn about our world - its rocks, its plants, its water, its air.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”Benjamin Franklin
Our goal over the next few years is to create a series of camps dedicated to teaching science to young people. The Big Island camp is just the beginning of what we hope will eventually reach thousands of teens annually, doing something positive to add to the general level of science education, helping to create adults who are aware of the importance of science in our lives and the next generation of scientists.
You can help make this happen. We have developed a number of programs that allow you to choose just how to help.
Your donation to Science Camps of America (a non-profit corporation) will help ensure that we are able to offer top-quality programs.
We look to our Corporate Sponsors to help us have an immediate impact on the young adults coming to camp.
You or your company can help students in your community get to Science Camp.
Science Camps of America has both volunteer and employment opportunities available for our camp sessions.
